Photographer Gerard Rancinan comes to London’s Opera Gallery as his first stop on a world tour, taking in Hong Kong, Miami and New York, with his larger-than -life images, Metamorphoses, Hypotheses, Wonderful World and Portraits.
The artist, who has four World Press Awards, revisits our most ancient and significant interrogations, and shines a light on how important these issues remain today. Globalisation, poverty, starvation, freedom and human rights are just some of the tensions and profound questions that he presents in his vivid, dynamic style.
He also features portraits of famous artists ranging from Monica Belluci to Zang Huan, revealing their talent and force of nature in captivating ‘portrait performances.’
Go and be enthralled, exhilerated and with a renewed take on the fundemental issues facing humanity – then and now. You’ll also see Mickey Mouse and Batman – in images revealed for the first time - as you’ve never seen them before….
