Some brand new unisex casual-wear to add to those Xmas Wish-lists…
As well as posting fashion news in general, I try and give you an insight into my work and my personal forays in the fashion and music worlds.
A few weeks back I was on location for Cheer Up Clothings A/W shoot. I have been working alongside the brand for the last year to work on various projects including the T-Room, which sees visiting bands perform acoustics sessions and the occasional interview at the Cheer Up HQ in Surrey.
Just to briefly fill you in on the company… The casual-wear brand was formed four years ago by best friends Edward Thomas and Matt Barnes (who plays bass for hugely successful UK rock band YOU ME AT SIX). Their hoodies, t-shirts and polos, some of which are emblazoned with their recognizable milkshake logo, have been worn by an array of alternative bands (as well as the extremely talented songstress Dionne Bromfield) and featured in/on many high profile publications/websites including OK, LOOK, FRONT, LOADED and KERRANG.
For this shoot, which we shot in a penthouse at The Brooklands Hotel and a plush country home in Cobham and I would be taking care of the styling duties with Edward. Apart from the addition of some wintery accessories ( knit socks, beanies and Cossack hats) we wanted it to be reasonably minimal, after-all the striking print designs should be doing all of the talking.
Having six models to dress reminded me of the importance of girls ability to multi- task , I suspect choosing to simultaneously shoot the video advert contributed to my extremely tired feet and muddled brain . Thankfully the chaos proved to be completely worthwhile and all were extremely happy with the results. Check out the finished article below….
P.S Filmmaker extraordinaire Joe Jamieson was also sneaking round capturing all the behind the scenes action… Watch this space for that one….
